Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and talented Chinese Chef to join our team. As a Chinese Chef, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting traditional and modern Chinese cuisine to the highest standards. Responsibilities:

• Plan and develop menus for the restaurant in collaboration with the management team
• Manage food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
• Train and supervise kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of Chinese cuisine
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area
• Control food and labor costs to meet budgetary requirements
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling practices
• Continually monitor and evaluate the quality of food products to ensure customer satisfaction
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure repeat business

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in a Chinese restaurant as a chef or cook
• In-depth knowledge of traditional and modern Chinese cuisine, cooking techniques, and ingredients
• Excellent culinary skills and ability to develop new and creative dishes
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of cleanliness and attention to detail
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
