KEY RESPONSIBILTIES-
PHYSICAL SECURITY MANAGEMENT
Lead the Overall Physical Security Operations across HZL.
Implement robust site security measures and design security strategies, policies, SOPs and best practices.
Oversee access control, surveillance, emergency response and security operations at all locations.
Ensure compliance with MAS security Audit and Vedanta Group Security Standards.

SECURITY TECHNOLOGY
Drive Security Automation initiatives across HZL to improve productivity, structured response and reduction of cost.
Explore and implement End-to-End Security systems under the BOOT model.
Ensure compliance with MAS security Audit and Vedanta Group Security Standards

RISK ASSESSMENT AND MITIGATION
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities across physical and operational domains.
Design and implement contingency plans for emergencies, such as natural disasters, sabotage, agitations, terror attack, breakdown of law and order etc.
Drive zero theft, pilferage and leakages targets across HZL

CRISIS MANAGEMENT AND RESPONSE
Develop and Monitor EWIs across HZL.
Lead crisis response across HZL, ensuring rapid assessment, review, response and reporting to minimize impact.
Collaborate and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during incidents.
Support compliance with legal protocols and coordinate emergency services and stakeholder engagement.

PERSONNEL SECURITY AND CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT
Provide strategic guidance to internal teams and business partners on security protocols and compliance.
Conduct Training Need Identification and Organize training programs for Security teams and business partners.
Organize mock drills on identified contingencies in collaboration with local Administration across HZL.

SUPPLY CHAIN SECURITY
Safeguard end-to-end supply chain operations, including transportation of raw materials and finished goods, to prevent theft, pilferage and disruptions.
Collaborate with partners and logistics to ensure end-to-end security.

BUDGET AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Oversee the security budget, including investments in technology, personnel and business partner services
Ensure cost-effective deployment of security resources aligned with business needs

INTELLIGENCE AND SURVEILLANCE
Develop strong relations with law enforcement and intelligence agencies and establish an intelligence network to prevent crimes, monitor early warning indicators, facilitate trust building with community and workers and enable business continuity.

ESG AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
Ensure adherence to local, national, and international regulations.
Drive ICMM and VPSHR protocols across HZL.
Ensure adherence to safety standards with Zero safety incident, audit requirements, and quality management frameworks.
Monitors and evaluates security audits - MAS and ISO and achieve Group Targets across HZL.
Qualifications
?
Education:
Bachelor's degree in security management, Criminal Justice, Intelligence, or a related field.
?
CPP certification by ASIS International is preferred
?
Experience:
o Minimum of 15 years of experience in security management, including at least 5 years in corporate security leadership role, preferably in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
o Proven track record of developing and implementing security programs in high-risk or industrial environments.
Skills and Competencies:
o In-depth knowledge of physical security principles, particularly in industrial, Mining and metal sector contexts.
o Deep understanding of security risks assessment and mitigation in mining and manufacturing operations.
o Demonstrated leadership and communication skills to lead cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders.
o Expertise in disaster management, crisis response, and incident management.
o Familiarity with modern security technologies (e.g., AI, surveillance systems, access controls, intrusion detection etc).
o Proven ability to work in high-pressure situations and make timely decisions under uncertainty.
Certifications (Preferred):
o Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) from ASIS International.
o Disaster Management Certifications
o Crisis Management Certifications
