We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef specializing in Indian and Chinese cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team at AVA Hotel. The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating authentic Indian and Chinese dishes while demonstrating creativity and attention to detail. Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute menus for Indian and Chinese cuisine, ensuring high-quality and authentic dishes.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts, following traditional recipes and culinary standards.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet the highest standards of taste, appearance, and freshness.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and food safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dishes, menus, and specials that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Monitor food costs and waste to optimize profitability while maintaining quality.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation practices in the kitchen.
  • Handle customer inquiries and special requests, providing excellent service and culinary experiences.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients to continually enhance culinary offerings.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Chef specializing in Indian and Chinese cuisine, preferably in a high-volume hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Indian and Chinese culinary traditions, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification from a recognized culinary institute is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creativity and innovation in menu development and dish presentation.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
