to join our dynamic production team. As a CDP, you will be responsible for running sections of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, hygiene, and presentation. You will supervise junior kitchen staff, contribute to menu development, and play a vital role in maintaining kitchen efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and operate a specific kitchen section.
Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to standard recipes.
Ensure food is served at the correct portion size, temperature, and presentation.
Supervise, train, and support junior staff such as Commis Chefs.
Monitor stock levels and minimize wastage.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in your section.
Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Assist in developing new menu items and specials.
Report any equipment faults or maintenance needs.
Requirements:
Minimum 2-4 years of relevant kitchen experience.
Proven experience in managing a section in a busy kitchen.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
