Job Summary

Sr. Manager - Chassis ( Brake system,Suspension,Steering & Driveline,HVAC)

Key Result Areas (Accountability & Responsibility of the role)

Conduct initial supplier assessment audit for newly inducted suppliers.

Excellent knowledge about 4W passenger car Brake system,Steering & Driveline,HVAC

Good Process knowledge about Casting, Forging, Machining & Heat treatment

Prepare Design Verification Plan based on standards and past product problems.

Knowledge on Casting (GDC & PDC) & Machining process, measurement on CMM, X-ray testing, cut section of castings etc.

Enhance experience on supplier process audit.

On hand experience on PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, IATF 16949, other national and international standards.

Provide technical and quality system support to supplier to improve their Quality and system sustenance

Defects Tree Analysis and countermeasure of special processes

Problem solving techniques viz. 7QC tools, QC story, 8D, Management tools etc.

Interior knowledge in QA Module in SAP and Ensure QMS requirements adherence at all suppliers.

DFMEA and PFMEA, Non-ferrous parts process proving, capability assessment, capable of troubleshooting CAPA. MSA and CAPA. Knowledge GDC & PDC tool inspection and approval, toll management basics.

Solving Chronic issues with help of Six Sigma approach

Process validation of all the processes

Key Skills Required

Adept in processes like Casting, machining, Forging, Heat treatment

Excellent problem solving capability

Need to have experience in supplier capability evaluation, APQP process

Implementation, PPAP approval for the parts, assemblies etc.,

Thorough knowledge in manufacturing processes like Stamping and Welding,

Should be capable of team building and have effective communication skill.

Software/Tools/System Exposure

AIAG Core tools; IATF 16949; IPC 610 Standards

PLM, MES, SAP, Statistical and Reliability evaluation tools

Target Companies

-Atleast 5 yrs Exp in Passenger car OEM (Maruti, Hyundai, M&M, GM, Honda, Renault Nissan,Toyota,Tata Motors.

-Atleast 5Yrs Exp in Chassis part tier1 supplier (Brakes India,Sanden,Calsonic,JTEKT,Bramboo,Mando,Rane,Bosch,Tenneco,Gabriel)..etc)

Number of years spent as Lead - SQA & Part development of chassis parts

PSW (Part Submission Warrant) signed-off in his SQA experience so far?
