Reporting To: Group CEO
Role Objective:
To lead the Finance, Accounts, Compliance, and Secretarial functions of Som Distilleries Group, ensuring statutory compliance, corporate governance, financial transparency, and strategic support to the CEO and Board.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance & Accounts
Oversee end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, and consolidation of group entities.
Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for multiple business units.
Manage working capital, treasury, and banking relationships.
Ensure compliance with IND-AS, Income Tax, GST, Excise, and sector-specific regulations.
Present MIS reports, variance analysis, and financial dashboards to CEO/Board.
Partner with business units on cost optimization, pricing, and margin improvement.
Secretarial & Governance
Ensure compliance with Companies Act, SEBI (if applicable), FEMA, and other corporate laws.
Handle Board meetings, AGMs, and drafting of resolutions, notices, and minutes.
Maintain statutory registers, filings with MCA/ROC, and secretarial records.
Ensure strong corporate governance, risk management, and internal controls.
Liaise with regulators, auditors, legal advisors, and government authorities.
Leadership
Work closely with CEO and senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
Mentor and lead a team of finance, accounts, and secretarial professionals.
Support business expansion, M&A, and JV structuring from a finance and legal compliance perspective.
Candidate Profile:
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) + Company Secretary (CS) - Mandatory.
12-20 years of strong post-qualification experience in Finance, Accounts, and Secretarial functions.
Prior experience in Manufacturing / FMCG / Alcobev sector preferred.
Strong knowledge of excise, taxation, corporate governance, IND-AS, and Companies Act.
Proven track record in financial strategy, compliance, and Board-level reporting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
ERP/SAP working knowledge desirable.
