to join our culinary team. You will assist the Chef de Partie in managing the Chinese section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, taste, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide variety of authentic Chinese dishes (stir-fry, dim sum, noodles, sauces, etc.)
Ensure consistency and quality in all food items prepared
Manage mise en place and ensure timely preparation for service
Support the Chef de Partie in supervising and training Commis chefs and kitchen helpers
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and waste management
Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
Participate in menu planning and contribute to new dish ideas when required
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional Chinese kitchen
Strong understanding of Chinese cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment (e.g., wok cooking)
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Team player with leadership potential
Basic understanding of kitchen cost control
Food safety certification preferred
