Job Summary:



We are seeking an experienced and skilled

Chef de Partie (CDP)

to lead a section of our kitchen in a

Pure Vegetarian Indian Restaurant

. The CDP will be responsible for preparing high-quality vegetarian dishes, managing junior staff, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of their assigned section (Curry, Tandoor, or South Indian).

Key Responsibilities:



Supervise and manage the assigned kitchen section (e.g.,

Curry

,

Tandoor

,

South Indian

, etc.). Prepare and cook authentic

pure veg Indian dishes

consistently as per recipes and standards. Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and taste of all dishes served. Guide and train Commis 1, Commis 2, and kitchen helpers. Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the workstation. Check and manage mise-en-place preparation for your section. Control wastage, monitor food storage, and ensure FIFO stock rotation. Coordinate with the Sous Chef and service team to ensure timely service during operations. Maintain kitchen equipment, tools, and inventory in good condition. Contribute to new dish development and suggest improvements to existing items. Ensure all recipes and SOPs are strictly followed by junior staff.

Requirements:



Minimum 3-5 years of kitchen experience, with at least 1-2 years as CDP or DCDP. Expertise in vegetarian Indian cuisine - North Indian, Tandoor, or South Indian (as applicable). Strong leadership, multitasking, and time management skills. Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, HACCP, and food safety practices. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:



Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management (preferred) Experience in pure veg kitchens, thali setups, or high-volume Indian restaurants

Work Schedule:



Rotational shifts (Lunch & Dinner) Weekends and holiday availability required
