Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined Line of Business-aligned (LOB-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has 13000+ people across the globe.

GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3500+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products. The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions. The Chase Consumer & Community Bank (CCB) Technology and Operations Finance team in Bengaluru is a part of the global finance team that supports CCB Technology and Operations team. The team offers support in the areas of Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis, expense management etc. to various internal customers including Finance and Business Management leads and also business leaders at various levels. This position of 'VP' would lead Finance teams either for the India Operations or the India Technology Finance teams closely with the Global CCB Technology and Operations Finance leaders and their teams. The role will involve (1) direct functional responsibilities around certain specific areas of work as also (2) responsibility to mentor and lead team members and support/lead projects.

Role and Responsibilities:

Primary role working closely with the team

  • Strong technical abilities with knowledge of financial systems/related process workflows and the ability to simplify/analyze large data sets in order to tell the story behind the financials
  • Lead & support all financial processes and reporting including actuals, budget, forecast, and the methodical allocation of expenses to the appropriate business units based on application beneficiary
  • Support (design/ modify/ review) the monthly/quarterly reporting around EMRs, expense, headcount as per business requirements
  • Maintain a strong communication model between the functional CFOs and the firm's finance team making sure information regarding the business is shared both ways
  • Preparation of insightful, high quality Senior Management presentations
  • Help coordinate month-end financial close including forecasting, reporting, and analysis of expenses in project reporting systems
  • Ability to understand the global priorities for business & execute on key initiatives using a project-based approach
  • Budgeting and forecasting at a detailed organization and system level managing multiple views
  • Liaise with various stakeholders across Technology, Finance, and Corporate to ensure best practices and desired results
  • Partner on Special projects, transformation related ownership/support with Global/India Stakeholders as required
Team Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in building the team by hiring right talent based on thorough understanding of the book of work and role descriptions.
  • Oversee performance of the team to ensure delivery of high-quality work product on a sustained basis.
  • Challenge status quo and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Effective stakeholder management through understanding expectations of various US leads and ensuring that the sub teams are meeting and exceeding expectations.
Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with India leadership to grow the India Book of work and build/lead the team
  • Build good employee engagement, provide feedback on an ongoing basis and coach/mentor the team to facilitate continuous professional development and upskilling.
  • Lead and Drive organizational projects and initiatives on transversal focus areas like automation, knowledge management, risk and controls etc.
Skills / Competencies Needed/Education Qualifications:

  • CA/MBA (Finance) with 15+ years of post-qualification experience with relevant experience in Financial Planning and Analysis and Business Finance
  • Strong leadership/team/ people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and partnering skills with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work autonomously within team environment
  • Ability to research issues/problems and provide a 'solution-based' approach
  • Adaptable to change and ambiguity in the work environment
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint (i.e. use of pivot tables, macros, arrays, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Essbase, SAP, Alteryx, Tableau will be preferable
  • Time: Shift is 2:00 pm to 11:00pm IST
