Job Title: Cashier (Hotel Industry)Job Summary
The Hotel Cashier is responsible for handling guest payments accurately and efficiently while providing friendly and professional customer service. This role supports hotel operations by processing transactions, issuing receipts, and assisting guests with billing inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and process payments from guests (cash, credit/debit cards, vouchers, or digital payments)
Issue receipts, refunds, or change accurately
Handle billing for hotel services such as rooms, restaurants, spa, or other amenities
Maintain a clean and organized cashier counter
Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift
Answer guest questions related to charges and bills politely and clearly
Coordinate with front desk, restaurant, or accounting staff when needed
Follow hotel policies, security procedures, and customer service standards
Qualifications and Skills
High school level education or equivalent
Basic math and money-handling skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
Prior cashier or hotel experience is an advantage but not required
Work Environment
Fast-paced hotel setting (front desk, restaurant, or service counters)
Requires standing for long periods
Frequent interaction with guests from different backgrounds
