We are seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team at Gamut HR Solutions. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining accurate records. This is a full-time position based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven working experience as a Cashier or in a customer service role
• Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners, and money counters)
• Strong communication and time management skills

• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

• Manage cash transactions with customers
• Scan goods and collect payments
• Issue receipts, refunds, change, or tickets
• Resolve customer complaints and escalate to the supervisor if necessary
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Keep reports of transactions and report any discrepancies
• Bag, box, or wrap purchased goods
• Process returns and exchanges
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
• Handle merchandise returns and exchanges
• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing prompt and friendly service
• Follow all company policies and procedures
