Job Description

Cashier cum Accountant will be responsible for handling daily cash transactions, billing, basic accounting, and maintaining accurate financial records of the restaurant. The role requires attention to detail, honesty, and the ability to manage both front-desk billing and back-office accounting tasks efficiently.

Key ResponsibilitiesCashier Duties

Handle billing and cash, card, UPI, and online payment transactions accurately Operate POS systems and generate bills and receipts Ensure correct pricing, discounts, and taxes (GST) are applied Maintain daily cash register balance and submit end-of-day cash reports Handle customer queries related to bills and payments politely

Accounting Duties

Maintain daily sales, purchase, and expense records Prepare daily cash book and bank reconciliation statements Record vendor invoices and manage payment schedules Assist in GST billing, filing support, and statutory compliance Maintain petty cash records and control expenses Prepare weekly and monthly financial summaries for management

Inventory & Administration

Coordinate with storekeeper/kitchen for stock entries and verification Record wastage, variance, and stock adjustments Maintain proper documentation of bills, vouchers, and receipts Support audits and management reviews when required

Skills & Qualifications

Graduate or diploma in Commerce, Accounting, or related field preferred Experience in restaurant or hospitality accounting is an advantage Knowledge of POS systems, MS Excel, and basic accounting software Understanding of GST and basic statutory requirements Strong numerical skills and attention to detail High level of integrity, confidentiality, and responsibility

Experience

1-3 years of experience in a similar role preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
