Job Overview

Retrofit & Upgrade Manager is End to End responsible for Planning the NE Upgrades and Retrofit in the network. This role is a very challenging as it involves working on the live Network with the objective to remove poor quality material from the network and enabling the network and way path for the working of new introduced cards and solve the bugs in the network elements.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for Planning the Upgrade and Retrofits.
  • Good in evaluation of Risk and mitigation Plan for the same.
  • Good People Management Skills and Good Team Player.
  • Good understanding of Customer Optical Network and Different Network Layer.
  • Planned Event Management with the customer and different stakeholders.
  • Work with Internal Teams Customer Engineering, Technical Support, Procurement, HR for resource Hiring.
  • Good understanding of Method of Procedure for Upgrades and Retrofits and Checklists.
  • Monitoring the Upgrades and retrofit and ability to scale up output in short duration.
  • Have understanding of the Upgrade and Retrofit Execution Process and ensure that the team follows the process and no process deviation in implementation.
  • Good Awareness of the Organization Escalation Process of Operations and Project Deployment.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelors degree in Telecommunication, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, and/or applicable Industry experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience of upgrades, customer-facing Team Leader experience within a highly technical, fast paced environment.
  • Technical knowledge / experience in Optical Network technologies.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills, with experience working directly with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • People Management skills to handle teams and who can motivate the teams to get the required outputs.
  • Self-Initiator with agile mind set who can adopt to the changes in Plan quickly.
  • Open to work Extended work hours to meet the deadlines.
It would be nice if you also had:
  • Leadership and conflict resolution skills.
  • PMP certification.
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Knowledge of Macros.
  • Knowledge of Automation is Preferred.
  • Reporting Dashboards with Knowledge of Power BI.
  • Capturing Lesson learnt and work for continuous environment.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Process Incident and Fault Management.
