Job Title: - Capacity Management Engineer

Designation : Associate

Location: Pune, India

Summary

Business Overview :

Work with Global teams to identify, standardize, capture, report and analyze capacity metrics for current network performance, and usage trends. Analyze data for exception reporting (threshold breach), pattern investigation, anomaly correlation and identifying usage trends. Network KPI reporting by remodeling/redesigning functional models for capturing and reporting contemporary set of KPIs as a stream-lined global process. Facilitate current and anticipated future trends and provide forecasts to Global teams to ensure that business capacity demand is being fulfilled. Identify potential issues through stats analysis and pattern recognition on incidents and problems. Design, create and publish various audience oriented dashboards, presentations and analytical reports.

Your key responsibilities

Mandatory skills

Technical

Must Have:

• 3+ years experience in network capacity management or telecom business analysis role
• Proven Technical and analytical skills using Microsoft Excel with Pivot tables, Charts and macros
• Basic networking knowledge of LAN, MAN, WAN, Firewall infrastructure
• Knowledge of SharePoint and basic administration of accounts and structure
• Familiar with network management tools and metrics

Nice to have:

• Comfortable working with a Linux-based command line
• Familiar with networking Automation/Scripting languages Python,Perl, Ansible, and Terraform, Jenkins/TeamCity, Bitbucket, Github
• Familiar with SQL querying
• Familiar with using REST API

Domain

Must Have:

• Degree or equivalent level with appropriate Industry standard qualifications
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills in a highly visible fast paced enterprise
• Proficiency in analytical skills. Good Understanding of aggregation functions and logic to be able to create summary reports
• environment Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able as a member of a Global team.
• Develop "what if" scenarios to analyze capacity, consolidation opportunities and possible platform synergies.
• Respond to capacity planning requests for the following hardware platforms: Cisco, Arista, Extreme, Checkpoint, Juniper, F5 etc, and Network LAN, WAN, MAN utilization reporting and trends.
• Work with change and configuration management process managers to develop impact analysis on capacity due to changes.
• Stay informed of trends and best practices in the performance and capacity planning area.
• Work to support Strategy Tree KPIs (key service-level goals), including average response time, mean time to repair, customer satisfaction and customer productivity.
• Develop differentiated capacity plans for systems and applications depending on business risks.

• Knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITILv3 or v4) framework
