Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full-cycle physician billing process for multiple Canadian provinces, including Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, and others Submit claims accurately and timely through provincial billing platforms such as OHIP, MSP, AHCIP, RAMQ, and related systems Identify, investigate, and resolve claim rejections, denials, or underpayments promptly Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in provincial billing codes, policies, and regulatory requirements Generate detailed billing performance reports and ensure monthly reconciliation accuracy Collaborate closely with physicians, clinic staff, and administrative teams to optimize workflows and improve billing efficiency Train, supervise, and mentor junior billing staff to enhance team capabilities (if applicable)

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Canadian physician billing processes Strong familiarity with billing systems such as OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan), MSP (Medical Services Plan of BC), AHCIP (Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan), RAMQ (Regie de l'assurance maladie du Quebec), etc. Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and billing software, including but not limited to Oscar, Accuro, Telus Health, MD Billing Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and manage responsibilities proactively

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing multi-specialty physician billing Prior leadership or team management experience in healthcare billing or revenue cycle operations Certified Medical Billing or related professional certification
