Job Description

The Cafeteria Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking daily meals served in the staff or guest cafeteria. The role ensures timely food production, maintaining hygiene, following standard recipes, and providing consistent quality at all times.

Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking

Prepare and cook daily breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks as per menu. Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines. Ensure timely availability of meals for staff/guest cafeteria service. Assist in menu planning and daily specials.

Hygiene & Safety

Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and service areas. Ensure proper food storage and label all items correctly. Follow FSSAI/food safety guidelines. Use PPE and maintain personal hygiene at all times.

Operations & Inventory

Check daily raw material requirements and inform store/kitchen supervisor. Ensure minimum wastage and maintain cost control. Properly maintain equipment, utensils, and workstations. Assist in receiving and storing supplies.

Teamwork & Coordination

Coordinate with service staff for smooth meal distribution. Support colleagues in peak hours or special events. Follow instructions from Chef/Head Cook.

Skills & Requirements

Basic knowledge of Indian and continental cafeteria-style cooking. Ability to prepare food in bulk / batch cooking. Knowledge of hygiene and safety practices. Time management and ability to work under pressure. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in cafeteria or bulk kitchen operations.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
