Title: Associate Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 PLM CAD Web Tools Quality Assurance

Education: BE/B-Tech. in one of Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Information Sciences

Experience level - 1 to 3 years

Responsibilities:

Design and develop test plans, procedures, scenarios, and scripts to accurately assess new products (software applications) as well as software updates according to customer requirements and department practices in the MCAD / PLM Teamcenter & Web Application platforms.

Develop standard testing practices for various aspects, such as usability, database impact, error and bug finding, performance testing, regression testing, and implementation scenarios.

Identify, analyze, and create detailed records of problems that appear during testing, such as software defects, bugs, functionality issues, and output errors, and work directly with team MCAD, PLM and Web tools developers to find solutions and develop retesting procedures.

Track problems, resolutions, and bug fixes throughout testing and create a comprehensive database of defects and successful mitigation techniques.

Create detailed, step-by-step documentation of test procedures for each phase or project as needed to ensure replicability, compliance with standards, and growth of company knowledge base.

Communicate clearly and effectively with test personnel, users, developers, and customers to facilitate quick resolution of problems and accurate documentation of successes.

Provide frequent feedback to developers, including recommendations for improvements, evaluation of problems, potential solutions, and discussion of further test requirements.

Design and implement automated testing tools when possible, and update tools as needed to ensure currency and accuracy.

Record and maintain team quality metrics including turnbacks and other test metrics

Skill sets (Mandatory):
Knowledge of basic design modeling in Siemens NX / CATIA V5 / PTC Creo Parametric
Good Experience in Manual Testing for various software applications
Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile SDLC Software Development Life cycle
Hands-On experience in STLC Software Test Life Cycle & Bug Life Cycle
Basic Programming knowledge in at-least one of the programming languages amongst C/C++/C#/VB.Net/Java/ASP.net
Familiarity with basic concepts of PLM domain and its applicability in Aerospace Industry
Experienced in working with Auto / Aero OEMs across different global geographies

Knowledge of Siemens PLM Teamcenter
Good Logical and Analytical Thinking
Good written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Requirements Management & Agile tools including JIRA / Kanban boards / Polarion

Skill sets optional:
Basic Understanding of Objected Oriented Programming Concepts
Experience in writing Unit Tests and Test-Driven Development TDD
HP UFT
