About the Role
We are searching for a self-driven and enthusiastic programmer with a passion for tailored and highly optimized software in the chemistry domain. You will be part of an agile development team supporting and continuously improving our chemical structure search to fulfill our customer\xe2\x80\x99s needs. You will be able to contribute and expand your expertise and skills in a variety of career paths at Elsevier.

Our diverse team stretches across China, India, Europe, the UK and the US and relying on a well-developed network of industry leaders, partners, and suppliers.

The Reaxys team has flexible working opportunities. This position is based in Bengaluru, India where you will be working with the India and Frankfurt teams consisting of experienced professionals from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding and continuously extendingthe existing code base
  • Writing codes and automated tests to match detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Being an active member of the agile team, contributing to ceremonies and team decision making
  • Working closely with product owners and other stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries


Requirements
  • Experience in software engineering with Computer science, or chemistry domain knowledge
  • Experience with C/C++ software engineering including being familiar with standard libraries, e.g. Boost, and tools, e.g., GDB or GNU compiler
  • Be familiar with GitHub source control and Trunk based development
  • Experience or training in Linux
  • Experience of training in Bash, Perl, or Python would be good to have
  • Experience or training in AWS would be good to have
  • Have knowledge of Jenkins, JIRA, and Confluence
