Role Description

Currently DWS sources technology infrastructure, corporate functions systems [Finance, Risk, HR, Legal, Compliance, AFC, Audit, Corporate Services etc] and other key services from DB. Project Proteus aims to strategically transform DWS to an Asset Management standalone operating platform; an ambitious and ground-breaking project that delivers separated DWS infrastructure and Corporate Functions in the cloud with essential new capabilities, further enhancing DWS\xe2\x80\x99 highly competitive and agile Asset Management capability.

This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a high performing team implementing a strategic future state technology landscape for all of DWS Corporate Functions globally.

The Lead Business Functional Expert is responsible for and leader of activities which translate complex requirements from Lead Business Functional Analysts into system specific functional specifications which serve as the basis for technical solutions. The Lead Business Functional Expert acts as the day-to-day leader of work efforts in this area across a team and/or serves as a specialist providing support across development facing work efforts and projects.

Your key responsibilities
  • This role will be primarily responsible for creating good quality requirement specification and high level design of reporting workflow
  • Will get involved with hands-on code development
  • System Integration testing of developed software
  • Do requirement specification review of other team members
  • Participate and manage daily stand-up meetings
  • Articulate issues and risks to management in timely manner
  • This role will require 70% functional & technical involvement and 30% on other activities like team handling, mentoring, status reporting, year-end appraisals
  • Analyse software defects and fix them in timely manner
  • Work closely with Stakeholders and other teams like Architecture team, Quality Assurance teams etc.
  • Reviews testing requirements including test plans, test cases and test-data. Works with engineers to resolve complex functional issues arising from user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Works with engineers, to prioritise, trouble shoot and resolve reported bugs/issues/CR\xe2\x80\x99s (change requests)
  • Develops hypotheses to explain why usability, process, functional and data issues have occurred or are likely to occur.
  • Communicates usability and business process improvement, through application of detailed analytics, pattern and root cause analysis. Leverages visualisation techniques.
  • . Supports the development of an environment where people management and development is the number one priority. Coaches direct reports and others in the organisation, as appropriate
  • Actively supports the business strategy, plans and values, contributing to the achievement of a high performance culture
  • Takes ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution
  • Acts as a role model for new employees, providing help and support to facilitate early integration and assimilation of their new environment
  • Supports tough people decisions to ensure people performance is aligned with organisation imperatives and needs. Addresses individual performance issues, where necessary, to drive for high performance
Your skills and experience
  • 6 \xe2\x80\x93 10 years work experience and advanced knowledge of analysis methods, tools and techniques
  • Investment banking knowledge.
  • Accounting Knowledge \xe2\x80\x93 Balance Sheet, PnL statement.
  • Hands-on experience on SQL
  • Reg. reporting experience \xe2\x80\x93 Financial reporting, Liquidity reporting or transaction reporting
  • Experience on Credit , market or operational risk models will be advantage.
  • Data analysis using PL/SQL.
  • Worked in Agile/Scrum software development atmosphere
  • Familiarity to Jira and ALM
  • Experience on SAFe agile delivery methodology
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly organized with ability to commit and prioritize work duties and tasks
  • Excellent proven communication and documentation/presentation skills
  • Ability to identify and escalate problems at an early stage
  • Ability to work in virtual teams and matrix/global organizations
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office products
  • Fluent in English (written/verbal)
