Job description
Job Title : Regional IP Specialist / IP Architect - IP/MPLS
Department : RBC APAC
Reports To : RBC - Head of Services

Qualification

• B.E. / B. tech / Degree in Electronics or Electronics and telecommunication.
• 8-10 years hands on experience in troubleshooting/Implementation in large IP/MPLS networks.
• Having exposure in direct customer interaction and handling technical Cases.
• Experience in Technical Team Leader position is preferable.
• CCNA certification is must. CCNP/CCIE / equivalent Juniper certification is advantage.
• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.
• Create network design, test, and migration and integration plan

Domain Knowledge

• Routing Protocols- RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS and BGP. Policy Based Routing.
• MPLS and LDP knowledge
• Knowledge of VPNs- L2VPN, L3VPN, IPSec Tunnels.
• Switching knowledge, VLAN, STP, RSTP and MSTP.
• First Hop Redundancy Protocols- HSRP, VRRP and GLBP.
• QoS.
• PWHT, Segment Routing, IPv6 (keeping in future next 1-2 years), added advantage.

Roles and Responsibility
IP Architect focus will be to work closely with NPI (POC) team. PLM and customer to:

• set up and leading activities for IP Architecture at infrastructure level and service level for future deployments
• Work with Global POC team closely in setting up Test Plan/Scope which will be in the best interest of RBBN and Customer
• Support NPI engineers in setting up Test Bench as per agreed architecture and configuration
• Interoperability with other vendor at IP infrastructure and service level if needed.
• Strong experience in IP architecture and NPT IP product configuration
• Work with deployment team to guide them in "first in" project such as pilot, on boarding etc. to make sure IP architecture and configuration is in line with agreed architecture/configuration (Low Level Design)

You may have to travel in the APAC region (up to 2 months duration) as required.

• Ribbon APAC Customers.
• Internal organizations: T3, R&D, Engineering, Sales, Project Management and more.
