What is the Business Intelligence Analyst -Investment Services - Portfolio Solutions group responsible for Provides standard reports and ad hoc reporting for internal and external audiences. With guidance, identifies trends and prepares analytical summaries. Applies a basic understanding of the company\'s business, products and customers. Assists in conducting research and analysis projects. Reports on fund performance and sales data (utilizing technology tools, such as Morningstar and Advantage Hypotheticals) to use in fund marketing materials or sales presentations. What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Business Intelligence Analyst Reporting & Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on the team reports (65%): With guidance, prepares standard reports for internal and external client use. Provide answers on basic questions on assigned reports. Monitors the daily production tracker and responds to issues before SLA. Interprets and prioritizes client requests. Develops an understanding of fund performance and benchmarks for retail and institutional funds (e.g., relative performance against peer group, investment platform review, statistical fund risk metrics, fund characteristics and attribution Proprietary investment product ad report management (20%): Monitor and manage portfolio models and other custom investment vehicles as defined under the investment process. Imports, manages and oversees proprietary product universes in Morningstar (non-traded REITs) Assist with development and testing of Portal templates or other reports. Ad-hoc reporting, Industry, Competitive, and Product Research (10%): Assists in creation and management reports for Franklin Templeton (FT) decision makers in sales and marketing (recommended lists, top funds lists, etc.) On occasion may assist in developing presentations for use by broker/dealer, client, and investor relations. Recognize and address ad hoc request by using Advantage Hypothetical, Morningstar Direct Tool and Portfolio Analytics Tool Stay current on industry updates, market initiatives and regulations. Client Communication (5%): Works with team members to ensure analysis is appropriate for internal clients. Develops working relationships with team members and business partners throughout Portfolio Solution Services. Provide direction and assist sales team during unpredicted events. Assists in the preparation of the initial response to requestor and communicates the requested research and analytics reports.. What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be Successful Should have 6 months -2 years related experience. Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent experience Business Software - Microsoft Office Ideally, previous experience with Morningstar Direct Strong attention to detail and Quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
