We are looking for Business Intelligence Engineers to be part of Transportation Financial Systems team.

We are looking for Business Intelligence engineers to create new data models to generate insights that can fuel our product roadmap, build real time analytical platforms using big data tools and AWS technologies like Hadoop, Spark, EMR, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Kinesis Firehose, DynamoDB Streams. The ideal candidate relishes working with large volumes of data, enjoys the challenge of highly complex technical contexts, and, above all else, is passionate about data and analytics. He/she is an expert with data modeling, ETL design and business intelligence tools and passionately partners with the business to identify strategic opportunities where improvements in data infrastructure creates out-sized business impact. He/she is a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoys working in a fast-paced and global team. We, Transportation Financial Systems (TFS) are responsible for building technologies that support financial aspects for Amazon transportation. Our software systems include services that handle tens of thousands or requests per second and make decisions to pay billions of dollars a year and ensure that transportation's liabilities and revenues are correctly accounted for. With rapid expansion into new geographies, innovations in supply chain, delivery models and customer experience, increasingly complex transportation network, ever-expanding selection of products and growing number of shipments worldwide, we have an opportunity to build software that scales not only with volume but also with the business models. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar analytical field.
• 4+ Years of experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets.
• Hands-on experience working in team of BIEs and data engineers.
• Highly proficient in data modeling , Python, SQL and knowledgeable about data warehousing concepts.
• Experience building business intelligence and data products incrementally and integrating and managing datasets from multiple sources.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technology solutions to senior leadership, gain alignment, and drive progress.

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar analytical field.
• Exposure to Finance & Accounting business intelligence.
• Experience of Data Modeling.
• Experience with Big Data technologies e.g. Hadoop, EMR, Hive, Oozie, Presto, Hue, and Spark.
• Experience with one or more scripting languages e.g. Python, Scala etc.
• Experience with Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) databases - Redshift, Teradata etc.
• Experience with distributed systems and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with large-scale data warehousing and analytics projects, including using AWS technologies - Redshift, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Lambda, S3, EC2, etc.
• Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of coworkers
