As part of our team, you will:

The Business Development Team of Optical BU is responsible for driving business opportunities in optical networks domain from end to end prospective. This team is responsible for customer advocacy, pre-sales engagement, solution architecture, RFPs, BOQs, Network desiging, customer engineering and technical advocacy for telecom service providers, enterprise & emerging business units, webscale companies and government organizations.

  • Single point to contact for customer to address technical queries related to optical transport networks and products.
  • Responsible to converting traffic into network solution and Bill of Material.
  • Responsible for pre-sales engagements with customers, develop customer relationship and ensuring product fitment to meet customer asks.
  • Responsible for addressing RFPs including technical compliance preparation, technical qualification, working on design tools & BoQ, commercials terms and conditions, pricing etc.
  • Responsible for order intake, revenue recognition, margins delivery for optical business in the assigned account.
  • Working collaboratively with regional and global product management, marketing, network solution & validation teams to deliver successful end to end solutions for our customers.
Your skills and experience

You have:
  • In-depth technical expertise in optical transport networks including Packet transport (PTN), Control Plane- GMPLS (ASON, Layer 0, Layer1), DWDM, SDH, MPLS-TP, Ethernet, Layer 2.
  • Hands-on experience of running GMPLS tools to design optical transport network to ensure desired network resilience and translate the same in BoQ.
  • Highly skilled in customer communication, delivering presentations, solution defence and influencing customers in Nokia\xe2\x80\x99s favour.
  • In-depth competitive insight in optical transport domain including technical and commercials, pricing, business models etc.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of telecommunication industry experience, within the Optical Transport domain
  • Must have minimum of 5-8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working within Optical Systems, Engineering, Architecture, Product Management or similar discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of the optical transport industry and technologies (DWDM, OTN, Ethernet)
  • In-depth knowledge of next generation photonic architectures, high-speed electro optics and control plane technologies
  • Solid understanding of the latest market trends, from Access to Core
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in telecommunications or related field
  • Pre sales or product management experience within the optical transport domain
  • Customer facing experience
  • Proven experience presenting to senior level stakeholders

  • United States Salary Range: $56,840 to $105,560
