Purpose of the Job
Airtel IoT has been growing at a rapid pace and is the market leader in the IoT space in India. This is a great opportunity to be a part of the No.1 cellular IoT player in India and be a part of this exciting growth journey.
This role provides an opportunity for the incumbent to be at the forefront of the business and take charge of the IoT business in the defined territory. He/ She will support the IoT GTM in the defined territory and focus on maximizing acquisition and revenue with support from the concerned stakeholders. He/ She will focus towards enhancing the quality of acquisitions, ensuring deeper account penetration, run activities to target emerging companies, startups in different customer segments.
Key jobs to be done-

  • Grow IoT connectivity (M2M) business
    • Support the execution of GTM strategy in the assigned territory. Working closely with PSS, sales and account teams to win customers
    • Identify a target list of potential IoT customers in a defined territory
    • Drive focus in SMB segment including onboarding of newer companies which will grow later
    • Deliver product portfolio presentation to customers
    • Give Platform demo to customers

  • Solutioning
    • Discussion on IoT/M2M solutioning required to onboard customers
    • Support Testing for new customers

  • Focus on growing SMB revenue
    • Drive usage from existing set of accounts to maximize new M2M acquisitions and grow revenues
    • Flag customer concerns and ensure timely escalation which can lead to churn
    • Weekly calls with sales TSMs, AMs to drive nos.

  • Cross Functional collaboration
    • both internally (TSM\xe2\x80\x99s/KAMs/Delivery) and Externally to meet Customer Expectations and Business Goals
    • Work on IP/URL, APN, MPLS, reporting asks of customers
    • Liaise with network-IMSI release, SCM for hardware, etc. which are needed to win new customers
    • Conduct product demos & refresher courses for internal SMB teams
Key Deliverables

  • New SMB account penetrations
  • Identifying target customers from new and growing customer segments in IoT
  • First time right solutioning for new customers
  • M2M acquisitions and revenue from defined territory
Skills Required
  • Good Communication (verbal and Written) Skills with Fluency in English
  • Experience in B2B customer facing role, technology sales / pre-sales
  • Young and energetic with a hunger to learn and grow
  • Understanding on New Technologies
  • Execution excellence
  • Good Commercial Acumen
  • Ability to collaborate and work with teams
  • M2M Product Knowledge, previous M2M experience is a plus
Educational Qualifications Full Time graduate, Engineering background with MBA/ PGDM preferred
Work Experience


  • 3 - 5 years of experience in enterprise technology sales/pre-sales
  • Experience with IoT companies, Telecom operators, MVNOs, IoT start-ups, sim OEMs
