About the department

Manufacturing IT is the unit responsible for more than 40 global IT systems at Novo Nordisk including the operation, maintenance, support, and development of these systems. The systems are used on a global scale by all areas of the business from R&D to Sales and are critical to the execution of key business processes such as development, manufacturing, sales, finance, etc.

This includes SAP logistics modules like Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Advanced planner Optimiser (APO), Plant Maintenance (PM), Quality Management (QM), Production Planning and Process Industry (PPPI), Warehouse Management (WM), Advanced Track and Trace for pharmaceutical (ATTP), Global Batch Traceability (GBT) modules which are among the most critical IT systems in Novo Nordisk, and they are used 24x7 by thousands of NN users worldwide.

The Position

You will join a team of dedicated SAP Logistics professionals as a functional consultant in the SAP Warehouse management (WM) and Advanced Track and Trace for pharmaceutical (ATTP) team. The job entails a broad range of SAP application support and maintenance activities. Your primary focus would be on handling incidents/problems and working on change requests. Additionally, you will be also responsible for:

  • Contributing towards several day-to-day operational activities like on-call support to business users, performing various system tests as part of release activities, monitoring production critical system processes, coordinating with the vendors, supporting the other cross functional SAP teams on issue resolutions, etc.
  • From the maintenance responsibility perspective, you will be expected to work on various activities for the new development needs for various solutions/interfaces pertaining to the SAP Advanced Track.
  • Trace for pharmaceutical (ATTP) functional area like - requirement gathering/solution design/development of the solution by coordinating with ABAP'ers/ preparing the functional documents/preparing and running the validation test cases/ user guide preparation / go-live support / end user training.
  • You are also expected to understand and collaborate on any integration requirements with other SAP modules and legacy systems, as part of the incident resolution case or a new implementation of a change request.
  • And more importantly stakeholder management and effective communication is one the key expectation for succeeding in this operational role.
Qualifications

Below are the skills required.
  • MSC, MCA, MBA, BE, BTech or similar graduate degree in relevant field (Software Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration)
  • Should have 4-7 Years of solid experience in SAP Advanced Track and Trace for pharmaceutical (Serialization) knowledge
  • Experience within SAP Warehouse Management (WM) and Handling Unit Management is an advantage
  • Experience in Interfaces and IDoc's is Mandatory
  • Integration knowledge on PP-PI/QM module will be added advantage
  • Good to have experience in batch management and inventory management
  • IT experience covering design specification, solution design, development, validation, implementation, and maintenance of IT solutions
  • Understanding of GxP relevant systems and the requirements.
  • Experience from working in a project oriented, international matrix organisation
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable working with different countries across multiple time-zones
  • Strong experience with support processes including use of tools and ITIL processes
  • Large degree of flexibility and the ability to work under strong time pressure
  • Act as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyse, and solve software problems
  • Possess strong analytical skills, seek alternative solutions, self-driven, responsible, high degree of quality mind-set and involve other people to handle risks and dilemmas
  • Good time management and organisation skills; the ability to prioritise own work to meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of work
  • Good understanding of AGILE framework and working in AGILE teams
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical industry will be an added advantage
