About the department

Global Finance GBS Bangalore was established in 2007, is currently responsible for supporting Accounting, Finance & Procurement, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for Headquarters, North America, International Operations (IO), Product Supply & GBS Bangalore. The main purpose of our existence is to provide superior service to our stakeholders consistently and add value to the processes in terms of standardisation and efficiency.

The position

As a Business Analyst you will use strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyse Pharma data including in-market prescription data from IQVIA and Ex-Factory (claims, total COT, etc.). Additionally, you will develop, and support Insulin Forecasts as requested by Forecasting COE Insulin lead during AB/RE budget cycles.

You will work collaboratively with cross-functional, US-based Forecasting & analytics teams on projects ranging from simple repeatable ad-hoc analyses to more complicated, open-ended, exploratory analyses. Furthermore, you will analyse datasets for insights (trends, correlations, and patterns) that Novo Nordisk US (NNI) can use to enhance Forecasts and validate Payer and Product Mapping on an on-going basis to ensure major Forecast trend work can proceed on schedule. Other than these you will be responsible for the below mentioned:

  • Load the latest data into the forecasting model and prepare the model for use before AB/RE budget cycles.
  • Generate graphics / PPT slides for use in customer presentations & conduct quality checks on various reports and analysis.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverable schedules and share concerns about deliverables, timelines, and any other issues with project managers and directors.
  • Process various data files into useful analyses for stakeholders.
  • Automate processes which are repetitive in nature to improve overall quality and bring efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or master\'s degree in Business/Statistics/Economics, Applied Math, or Engineering/CS disciplines) with good academic track records and grades Degree from a top University. Preferably masters.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Pharma consulting industry especially in Forecasting and market analytics.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical industry (US Pharma is added advantage).
  • Working knowledge of IQVIA data sources (XPO, NPA, NSP, LAAD).
  • Ability to translate business problems into most efficient and effective analysis plan; execute the analysis including data pull and data preparation.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with different stakeholders, primarily with internal stakeholders.
  • Good appreciation of Commercial side of business.
  • Ability to run statistical trends and assess validity based on both statistics and business judgment/understanding.
  • Experience with database tools (SQL, Oracle, Access) preferred.
  • Some understanding of Business Intelligence Platforms (PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau) with capacity to build advanced competencies.
  • Advanced level knowledge of Advanced Excel, VBA & PowerPoint, Knowledge of statistical tools.
  • Good understanding of SAS, SPSS, R or other advanced analytics software packages / coding languages is preferred.
  • Conceptual, analytical & tactical thinking, strategic thought process.
  • Superior listening and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to show initiative and be proactive.
  • Proven history of working and delivering on multiple projects simultaneously, with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to distil and efficiently communicate analytic insights into simple key messages (both orally and in writing - fluency in English).
  • Good client service orientation, including the ability to identify and deliver analyses to support the internal needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships with NNI Finance with growth into interacting with Commercial teams.
  • Ability to naturally assume ownership of initiatives, requiring minimal supervision to consistently deliver outstanding results.
  • The candidate is expected to exhibit a high degree of flexibility as the nature & timing of the assignment of deliverables keeps changing with the ever-changing business dynamics.
