Introduction: As a Senior business analyst your role will be helping to manage, change and plan for the future functional requirements in line with the banks goals. This could be for one specific project, or multiple projects within the organisation. As Senior Business Analyst will need to understand the current organisational situation, identify future needs and create solutions to help meet those needs, in relation to information and software systems.
The role will need to demonstrate excellent understanding of the way the organisation works and its operation, as you'll be helping the organisation to develop its functions, services and products to meet goals with internal and external stakeholders.
You'll also play a key role in communicating between internal departments and external parties, acting as a 'translator' where necessary to convey how information technology can support the organisation's needs.
This hands-on role will be responsible for business analysis, requirements capture, prototyping, business solutioning to enable project technical delivery team understand functional requirements
Senior Business Analyst is accountable to collate, own requirements specification, prepare Functional Specifications including Data-Mapping document. The role would be working on a single complex project, or multiple standard projects, as Senior Business Analyst, collaborating with Architects, Solution Designers, Technical Delivery Manager, developers and testing teams.
As Senior Business Analyst is responsible for end to end Understanding of “as is” as well as new application functionality, including design and development aspects of the software components within the project scope, ensuring quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness in order to support the high performance delivery of change projects.
What will you be doing?

  • As Business analyst must support functional designing and solutioning ranging from migration, app development, automated monitoring, and provide guidance on testing complex frameworks and business functionalities
  • Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole
  • work with external stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback into the service, function, or product provided
  • use data modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes
  • consider opportunities and potential risks attached to suggestions you make
  • identify the processes and information technology required to introduce your recommendations
  • gain agreement, usually from senior management, of the best method of introducing your recommendations to the business
  • communicate the benefits of your recommendations across departments and help to address any uncertainty and concern
  • produce written documentation to support your work, report on your findings and to present to stakeholders when necessary
  • support staff and teams in making your recommended changes, including helping to resolve any issues
  • ensure plans are made and processes are created to evaluate the impact of the changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation.
  • Requirements analysis involving review and study of existing system and data to assist with details on design of application architecture, environment setup, build relevant data-models & embed configuration controls within services
  • Be prepared to be an active member of an Agile team and assist other areas when required
  • Effectively utilise Data-model to optimize our build quality and time-to-market.
  • Will be responsible for Data-Mapping, Data analysis, Assessing and designing data-models for change processes, systems, products and services on a change project
  • Ensure all governance, risk management, controls and compliance requirements are considered during development of requirements and designs
  • Develop and implement new business change processes, systems, products and services on a change project. Provide an aggregate high level view of the combined proposed solutions and ensure alignment with the change solution.
What we’re looking for: Must Have skills:
  • Proven hands-on Business Analysis experience of minimum 3 to 5 years
  • Basic know-how about Technologies and languages like API, RAML, JSON
  • Basic understanding on Data Compliance
  • Basic knowledge about SQL, Oracle DB tools and Excel
  • excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties
  • a passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change

  • Should have had experience of working with cross cultural teams at multi locations.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Past Business Analysis experience in Retail Banking
  • Working knowledge on latest API related technologies and languages
  • Past experience with SQL Query, Oracle ER Studio like tools, Excel VBA and advance functions
  • Working knowledge of Data Warehouse technologies and tools like Hadoop, Teradata, AWS
  • Ability to write (i.e. readable, performing and supportable) PL/SQL /SQL queries on Oracle database and Data Warehouse, delivering the functionality detailed in the technical specifications
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to find ways to overcome obstacles and self-teach new concepts
  • Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or similar.
