Position Overview
As an Insurance Business Analyst, your role will be to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions within an organization. You will collaborate with stakeholders from different departments, including business users, project managers, developers, and quality assurance teams, to gather, analyze, and document requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and recommending business process improvements and facilitating the successful delivery of software development projects. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the implemented solutions align with business objectives and meet the needs of end-users.
Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to elicit and understand business needs. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document functional and non- functional requirements. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Analyze and evaluate existing business processes, systems, and workflows. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for process improvements. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Prioritize and manage requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and feasibility.

2. Solution Design and Documentation:
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Create detailed and comprehensive business requirement documents (BRDs) and functional requirement documents (FRDs). \xe2\x9e\xa2 Develop use cases, process flow diagrams, and wireframes to illustrate requirements and system behavior. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Collaborate with development teams to design and review technical specifications. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Ensure that requirements are clearly communicated and understood by all stakeholders. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Validate and verify requirements through reviews, walkthroughs, and sign-offs.

3. Stakeholder Management:
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Build strong relationships and facilitate effective communication with business stakeholders. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and shared understanding. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Manage and resolve conflicts, ensuring consensus and agreement on requirements. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, translating business needs into technical requirements.

4. Project Management Support:
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Support project managers in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Assist in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Monitor project progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that solutions meet business requirements. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Support change management activities, including training and user adoption.

5. JIRA Proficiency and Software Development Projects:
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Utilize JIRA or similar project management tools to track and manage requirements, tasks, and project artifacts. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Collaborate with development teams to define and manage project backlogs and sprints. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Work closely with software developers to ensure that requirements are effectively translated into technical solutions. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working on software development projects.
6. Continuous Improvement: \xe2\x9e\xa2 Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business analysis. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to organizational knowledge sharing.
7. Test Design and Execution: \xe2\x9e\xa2 Design, develop, and execute test cases, scripts, and scenarios. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Automate test cases using appropriate tools and frameworks. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects.
8. Defect Management and Reporting: \xe2\x9e\xa2 Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Conduct root cause analysis and work with development teams to resolve issues. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Provide clear and detailed reports on test execution progress and results. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding quality issues and resolutions.
Qualifications \xe2\x9e\xa2 Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). \xe2\x9e\xa2 Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Experience in gathering and documenting requirements using industry-standard techniques. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Proficiency in using tools such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA, or similar for process modeling and requirements management. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and waterfall project management methodologies. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Ability to facilitate meetings, workshops, and interviews to gather information and drive consensus. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and
manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
