Job Description


The Business Analyst III is an experienced resource on a project team responsible for analyzing and designing new business processes. The Business Analyst III will participate in documenting customer requirements to assist the development team in implementation. Build and maintain strong relationship with the client. Conduct client workshops together and document business requirements. As an experienced resource on the project team, you will be responsible for analyz, designing and documenting new business processes, workflows and system requirements. Identify gaps & opportunities for process improvements. Crates detailed functional specs and user stories to assist the development team in implementation Collaborates with the Business Architect, developers and other stakeholders to assess current capabilities and design solutions that align with client needs and meet industry standards. Adhere to project scope and timelines. Ensure that quality and functionality of software solutions. Interact with cross functionality of software solutions. Interact with cross functional teams for completion of activities. Work with QA teams to resolve issues and defects. Transitions the requirements and use cases to the technical team and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the requirements. Participates in quality management reviews as outlined in the Quality Management practice, in particular reviews of the designs, prototypes and other requirement work products. Translates requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product and user acceptance testing. WHAT YOU VE DONE: Education and Work Experience: Bachelor s degree required, or higher education level, or foreign equivalent, preferably in area with analytic emphasis Minimum of 5 years professional experience, preferably in a similar role Experience interfacing with customers, including customer presentations Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities: Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Experience in requirements gathering, identifying gaps, estimating, implementation, test planning and execution, and User Acceptance Testing definition and execution Experience translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for assembly, product, and user acceptance testing Experience/knowledge of P&C Insurance software applications Experience/knowledge of software development life cycle for P&C insurance software Minimum of 2+ years of progressive, relevant consulting experience with Reinsurance in the following areas: Assumed Treaty and/or Facultative business management (Retro) Ceded Treaty and/or Facultative business management Experience and detailed knowledge of the P&C Reinsurance Insurance industry and core systems. Advanced knowledge using Microsoft Excel
