The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

This role is responsible of ensuring all the required changes of the stakeholders are delivered by following the SDLC along with the Governance process. Change management areas to own the change delivery for the respective portfolios. Liaise with all geographically dispersed stakeholders from Business and Technology teams and ensure smooth delivery for strategic changes for SCB.

The Senior Manager will

  • Lead the delivery of the bank\xe2\x80\x99s new Intraday Liquidity Enhancements Squad to support better oversight and allocation of nostro related costs.
  • An advanced level understanding of the nostro landscape and related domains such as reconciliation, payments, and securities operations.
  • Demonstrated experience of working effectively with an external vendor to ensure that the plan is delivered on time and in budget.
  • Establish a governance framework across the Nostro landscape working collaboratively with Treasury Services, Network Management, Treasury Markets and Operations teams
  • Lead design, data analysis and UAT and execution of the projects.
  • Balance the intent to have a strategic approach for projects with the need to meet regulatory deadlines and reduce time to market.
This role requires strong understanding of the Systems Development Lifecycle, ability to learn and understand the functional areas and data requirements both inputs and outputs and good interpersonal skills to manage direct and virtual teams across multiple locations.

  • Work towards continuous improvement to identify and implement opportunities to decrease process turn-around time and improve productivity.
Business
  • Facilitate defining and agreeing of solutions to drive effectiveness and efficiency with representatives from key Business and Technology stakeholders.
Processes
  • Work closely with upper management to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule, as well as other departments for support.
People and Talent
  • Stakeholder management experience working with senior level stakeholders to deliver project and provide status updates.
  • Proven experience with co-ordination of many dependencies and multiple demanding stakeholders in a complex, large-scale deployment environment.
  • Proven skills in coordination, staff management and leadership working with vendors and internal teams including Procurement, Operations, and stakeholders.
Risk Management
  • Responsibilities relating to identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group, as well as an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them.
Governance
  • Responsibilities relating to the direction, planning, structure, frameworks (e.g. processes and policies) and oversight.
  • Exercise right level of diligence, control and governance to comply with Data Quality and Reporting
Regulatory and Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment].
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelors / Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Finance (preferable) with around 10 years of experience.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis and Data analysis.
  • Substantial experience in the banking industry, including demonstrated success in a similar role.
  • Must possess sharp business acumen (including ability to assess risk and appropriate levels of return), excellent interpersonal skills and multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Ability to work with geographically dispersed and highly varied stakeholders.
