Job Description

As an SAP Basis Associate, the individual is expected to work closely with technical leads and other SAP streams to determine solutions, own and perform Basis tasks relevant for projects, troubleshoot system and performance issues and document solutions implemented. The candidate must therefore have the technical expertise across the traditional SAP NetWeaver technical platform and broader range of SAP components and technologies. Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related area required.
• 8-10 years of experience in SAP Basis including ABAP and JAVA stack.
• Experience in Database administration on IBM DB2, Oracle, SQL Server and SAP HANA.
• Experience working on Unix / Linux flavours and Windows systems.
• Strong learning agility and ability to apply technology to business scenarios.
• Must have excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required Skills:

• Domain experience in implementation, support and Rollouts and related tasks such as Printer Configuration, RF Guns etc.
• Experience of SAP technical design and sizing across multiple operating systems and databases to include Unix/Linux variants, Windows Server, DB2 and SAP HANA. This should include experience in the design of HA and DR solutions and experience of designing SAP Technical Architecture.
• Good knowledge of Client Copy, Client Creation, System Refresh etc.
• Good knowledge of SAP HANA would be added advantage
• Must have good knowledge on documentation & MS Visio to deliver required documentation related Architecture Changes.
• Expertise in SAP Basis to develop and maintain a highly available and efficiently performing SAP technical solution.
• Knowledge on TDMS is added advantage.
• Transport Management & ChaRM
• Good Coordination Skills within Projects Infrastructure & SAP Application Teams to ensure all Project milestones are achieved.
• Expertise in administration activities viz. STMS, CTS+, Client administration, Support Packs, Kernel upgrades, Background jobs, Add-on installations, Performance tuning, SAP Router, OSS Connectivity, Corrections to SAP standard programs using SAP Note system, setting up ALE and RFC connections, Language imports, SLD Data maintenance, managing SLD, configuring operation modes, Logon Groups, Server Groups, Configuring web dispatcher for Load balancing

Additional Skills:

• Installation of new SAP systems, upgrades and migrations.
• Experience in administering SAP Business Objects, SAP Data Services systems.
• SAP technical configuration and system administration experience across SAP AS-ABAP and AS-Java components, including SAP Business Suite, SAP NetWeaver Components.
• Experience in Operating Systems like SUSE Linux and Windows Experience in SAP Database Administration for the databases Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server
• Experience in the technical configuration associated with SAP Technical Monitoring, SAP Early Watch alert setup, setting up Solution Manager Diagnostics, LMDB and SLD in Solution Manager 7.2.
