We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu (IN-TN), India (IN).

Job Activities

Looking for a detail oriented, analytical thinking problem solver with a love for technological solutions and data! You will... support our team as Business Analyst in designing sustainable Data & Analytics solutions for the BMW CKD/SKD plants. perform discovery of business processes, identifying pain points and problems, finding opportunities and solutions which utilize technologies such as cloud analytics, report automation, machine learning, AI, and process automation. communicate findings and propose solutions to the business stakeholders, further helping to fulfil the business needs by writing and managing technical requirements and acting as a connector between the business and technical teams. map data and drive the development of strategic data assets in close collaboration with data stewards and data analysts, based on your findings. be located in Chennai, but will work together with colleagues around the world.

Role Responsibilities Bridging the gap between IT and the business - you will work in both "worlds". Work with business teams in BMW CKD/SKD plants to assess the business processes and underlying data as well as pain points. Understand business requirements for analytics solutions and translate them to IT specification. Define standardized, strategic data assets together with business and create data dictionaries. Work with technical teams to support the realization of the requirements, including Q&A and testing process. Ensure compliance to regional and business regulations. Create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups. Consult and challenge the business users about their needs for business intelligence and data analytics. Promote and train data driven business culture and mindset.

Skillset Technical Skills: Strong analytical and conceptual skills. Requirements analysis and management: eliciting, translating and simplifying requirements. Modelling techniques and methods. Understanding of integration between different technologies. Planning and monitoring deliverables. Solid understanding of databases and basics in SQL or python. Experience with BI visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik and Power BI. Fluent in English as this will be major language. Industry background in Automotive OEM business is a plus, focus on quality, supply chain, logistics. SAP knowhow is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues / users. Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy. Significant experience in presenting ideas, and solutions to varied audiences. Strong ability to understand and interpret Business needs and requirements with the ability to move concepts through to proposal and finally successful implementation. Ability to work as part of a team, inter dependant as well as independently and submit deliverables on time and in excellent quality. SELF STARTER. Experience in working with multi-geography, multilingual teams. Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project, depending on project phases. Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required. Above board work ethics - this is of utmost importance
