Introduction: The role holder will become a subject matter expert in the Travel and Expense technology domain at Barclays, using their knowledge to create innovative and practical software solutions to deliver agreed business outcomes. The role holder will then act as a project manager of small scale projects to oversee the delivery of the software they and others have designed while complying with all Barclays policies and standards.
What will you be doing?

• SAP Concur Subject matter expert - the role holder will determine the best solution to meet the business requirements they have identified and agreed. The role holder will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the Barclays Travel and Expense business processes, the data that is used and produced by those processes, the applications used to execute the processes and the SAP and non-SAP system landscape into which the applications are integrated.
• Knowledge manager – the role holder will be accountable for properly documenting all aspects of the technology they work on and will ensure others working on their projects do the same.
• Thought leader – using their subject matter expertise and working with the T&E Team Leader the role holder will play a prominent part in identifying opportunities to improve the Travel and Expense solutions.
• Project delivery – the role holder is responsible for the start to finish delivery of the projects they are assigned to, including managing requirements and design, approval, build, testing, production cutover and post go live support.
• Vendor liaison – the role holder will become a primary point of contact for the vendors providing the core platforms implemented by the projects they manage.
• IT Governance – the role holder will become expert in Barclays Technology policies, standards and governance processes. They will ensure all work they undertake complies with those policies, standards and processes and they will share their knowledge with team members and business stakeholders to help them similarly comply.

What skill we required?

• Extensive IT business analyst or functional consulting experience working in a head office business area such as Finance, Legal, Procurement or Human Resources
• Proven track record in planning and delivering small scale technology-based projects

Skills that will help you in the role:

• IT, finance or business qualification to degree standard
• Strong Desktop PC skills, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Atlassian’s Confluence
• SAP or Concur implementation experience in the Finance, HR or Travel Management modules
• Technology or change management experience in the Travel and Expense domain
