Business Analyst (BA) will perform limited scope User Acceptance Testing in addition to End-to-End Customer Journey experience tests. This role involves mitigating pre-production (test) Defects; you will contribute to the identification efforts as well as assist in implementing system enhancements into a production environment that is free of Defects. You will be an advocate for the business by ensuring systems / applications function performs as per requirements. Testing results are communicated, tracked and resolved prior to code deployment.

Performing analysis of business requirements and system specifications in this role will be critical. You will communicate specific details on issues, collaborate with UAT leaders to report, then verify resolution of issues. You will develop test scenarios and write Jira stories based upon business requirements or processes. Such as defined workflows and use cases; process transactions from system entry to exit; test functionality delivered across applications and workflows; and test applications to demonstrate that relevant existing system functionality is working as expected.

Key responsibilities:

Demonstrate aptitude to learn Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) with exposure to Agile Scrum methodology and terminologies

  • Interpret business requirements and JIRA stories for operational and application impacts
  • Design test scenarios / acceptance criteria to exercise operational and functional impacts captured in business requirements or user stories
  • Document test cases, execution procedures, data dependencies and expected results required to satisfy test design scenarios
  • Assist Application Developers and technical support staff in identifying and resolving problems
  • Facilitate resolution and communication of cross-application/organization architectural issues and decisions
  • Understand Customer and Business Impacts of project charter/concept/architectural documents in the initial phases
  • Intense focus on the overall customer experience and specialist experience
  • Ability to identify and document gaps, impacts, and risks of the project
  • Manages a piece or work stream of a small project or other program initiative, with moderate supervision
  • Collaborates on user experience and business strategy
  • Contributes to idea creation and project execution
  • Contributes to the translation of business requirements to functional test cases
  • Conducts research and analyze data
  • Escalates project issues and risks appropriately
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, adapting quickly to new technologies
  • Assist in summary reporting, root-cause analysis and release support activities
Skills & Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree or related field study preferred
  • Less than 12 months experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude to quickly learn new business functions
  • Knowledge on Agile, SDLC or STLC
  • Basic knowledge in all Microsoft Office Applications [Word, Excel and PowerPoint]
  • Preferred knowledge JIRA tool, Basic knowledge word processing and flow-charting tools
  • Proactive, strong attention to details
  • Drives for results, strong accountability
