Summary-

The Bulk Vessel Shipping Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day shipping of bulk vessels for a coal trading company. This includes finalizing contracts with ship brokers and owners, calculating and understanding laytime time calculations, and having an understanding and knowledge of Supramax, panamax and cape vessel freights.

Responsibilities Include:

• Finalize Charter Party contracts with ship brokers and vessel owners
• Has the knowledge of time charter
• Calculate and understand laytime time calculations
• Have a understanding and knowledge of Supramax, panamax and cape vessel freights
• Manage the shipping schedule for bulk vessels
• Negotiate shipping rates with ship owners
• Monitor the performance of shipping agents
• Develop and maintain relationships with shipping partners
• Stay up-to-date on market trends and regulations

• Bachelor\'s degree in shipping, logistics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in the shipping industry
• Strong understanding of shipping contracts and regulations
• Proficient in Google Sheet or Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
