Job Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bistro Store/Purchase Manager to join our team. As the Store/Purchase Manager, you will play a vital role in managing the store\'s inventory, purchasing supplies, and ensuring the smooth operation of our bistro. Your exceptional organizational skills, ability to manage inventory effectively, and knowledge of purchasing procedures will contribute to the success of our establishment. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the store\'s inventory, including monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing inventory control measures.
  • Create and maintain accurate records of inventory, including stock counts, purchases, and usage.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and minimize wastage.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of food, beverages, and other supplies.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to obtain the best value for the bistro.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring prompt delivery and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Oversee the receiving and inspection of deliveries, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the bistro management team to develop and maintain a comprehensive purchasing plan aligned with budgetary constraints.
  • Implement and enforce proper storage and handling practices for all supplies, including perishable and non-perishable items.
  • Conduct regular stock rotation to maintain product freshness and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to anticipate inventory needs and ensure efficient operations.
  • Stay informed about market trends, new products, and pricing fluctuations in the industry.
  • Monitor and control expenses related to store and purchasing operations.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure compliance in all aspects of store operations.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Store Manager, Purchase Manager, or similar role in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management techniques and purchasing procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage and optimize inventory levels while minimizing waste.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and storage practices.
  • Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
