Job Description

The Biryani Master is responsible for preparing a variety of authentic non-vegetarian biryanis and related dishes. The role requires expertise in traditional cooking methods, maintaining consistent taste and quality, and ensuring hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare different types of biryanis (such as chicken, mutton, fish, prawn, etc.) with authentic taste and aroma. Manage the entire biryani-making process -- marination, rice preparation, layering, dum cooking, and garnishing. Maintain the right balance of spices and ingredients according to restaurant standards. Ensure all dishes are cooked and presented properly before serving. Supervise kitchen helpers and assist in maintaining a clean and safe work area. Check the quality and freshness of meat, rice, and spices daily. Follow food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times. Assist in managing kitchen stock and report shortages to the chef or manager.

Requirements:



Proven experience as a Biryani Master or Cook in a non-vegetarian restaurant. Strong knowledge of traditional and regional biryani styles (Hyderabadi, Dum, etc.). Ability to maintain consistent taste and presentation. Good teamwork and time management skills. High standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
