Job Description

Key Responsibilities:1? Equipment Management

Installation, testing, calibration, and commissioning of new medical equipment. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for equipment such as ventilators, monitors, defibrillators, OT equipment, imaging devices (CT, X-Ray, etc.), infusion pumps, and lab analyzers. Maintain equipment uptime with rapid response to breakdown calls. Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement.

2? Documentation & Compliance

Maintain equipment service history, calibration reports, AMC/CMC records. Ensure compliance with NABH, AERB, and other regulatory guidelines. Assist during audits and inspections with accurate documentation.

3? Vendor & Contract Management

Coordinate with OEMs and service providers for AMC/CMC, warranty claims, and repairs. Negotiate service terms and ensure cost-effective solutions.

4? Technology & Safety Management

Participate in evaluation and selection of new technology & equipment proposals. Ensure user and patient safety through regular audits and risk assessments. Conduct training sessions for staff regarding correct equipment usage.

5? Operational Support

Support clinical teams by ensuring equipment functionality during procedures. Plan equipment lifecycle replacement and budgeting support.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering (or Diploma with relevant experience)

Experience:

0-3 years for entry level; 3-7 years for senior level Knowledge of hospital medical equipment, calibration methods & troubleshooting Strong technical and analytical skills Good documentation and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and during emergencies
