Role:
The BIM Manager\xe2\x80\x99s role is to understand and communicate how BIM will affect project workflows, deliverables and project management throughout company. The primary responsibility is to manage and coordinate BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement on all related BIM projects, files and models, for both our Commercial and Datacenter verticals. This will include the development of a work plan/roadmap for the development, implementation and quality assurance checks needed for full BIM integration with projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Should have worked in MEP industry (preferably Consultant/Contracting firms) in BIM coordination role.
- Should have worked as BIM Coordinator/Manager of Datacenter/Commercial projects.
- Should have good understanding of Electrical, ELV, Civil interior fitouts, HVAC, PHE & Firefighting systems for projects in Building engineering/Datacenter segment.
- Should be able to comprehend the Revit model received from Consultant/Client and raise RFIs/Clash detection reports to the BIM manager appointed by Client for the project.
- Should be able to prepare & explain BIM Execution Plan to the Client/Consultant as per the project requirement.
- Should be able to lead a team of Revit Modellers & Draughtsman for successful delivery of Revit model (from LOD 300 to 400 & 500) to the Consultants/Client for approval.
- Must be able to communicate & coordinate effectively with the BIM manager of Client for all model related issues and get proper inputs with resolved RFIs in minimum TAT for timely & proper site execution.
- Must be able to communicate & coordinate effectively with all the Project managers at site & provide all the required design inputs timely in order to enable them to work to work effectively at site.
- Should be able to resolve all 3D model design related coordination issues highlighted by Client/Consultant/Project Manager.
- Should be able to deliver As-built 3D revit model as per project requirement.
- Responsible for developing and implementing BIM workflow and driving standard usage of BIM and Revit within and outside the firm.
- Oversee the use of BIM/Revit software firm-wide, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all BIM installations as well as analysing and solving BIM user issues.
- Support each project team by managing and creating content library files and templates, creating and enforcing standards and evaluating project models.
- Responsible for BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement.
- Creation and maintenance of the template files to assure standards.
- Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all shop drawings produced
- Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards
- Train and oversee the day-to-day activities of BIM users to ensure BIM standards are maintained in the creation of BIM models
Qualifications and education requirements:
BE / B Tech Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical
12-15 years of experience in BIM modelling and coordination with reputable firms
Preferred skills:
- Sound knowledge of handling MEP Engineering team
- Know-how of AutoCAD, Revit software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Analytical and Decision-making skills
- Ability to foster collaborative work environment
- Site Execution knowledge preferable
- Should be creative and innovative
