Job Description

The Billing Engineer will be responsible for preparing, verifying, and managing project billing, client invoices, and subcontractor/vendor bills. The role ensures accurate measurement of quantities, timely submission of bills, and proper coordination with clients, contractors, and site teams for smooth financial operations of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review client bills as per contract terms, drawings, and BOQ. Verify subcontractor and vendor bills, ensuring compliance with project specifications. Coordinate with site engineers for quantity measurement and work progress reports. Maintain proper records of measurements, work orders, and billing documents. Ensure timely submission of Running Account (RA) bills and final bills. Reconcile quantities with contractors and clients. Prepare cost analysis, rate analysis, and support in project budgeting. Handle billing-related correspondence with clients and consultants. Support in financial planning, cash flow forecasting, and cost control.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of billing, BOQ, and project costing. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and ERP/software (if applicable). Good understanding of contracts, tendering, and project documentation. Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field. 2-5 years of experience in billing and estimation (construction/infrastructure preferred). Knowledge of relevant IS codes and billing practices.
