Your field of responsibility
A Data Engineer to join our growing team of analytics experts in Data Sourcing Application in the FSG Tech IT department in Credit Suisse. The team consists of Data engineers, ETL Developers, Data Visualization specialists & QA Engineers across Pune, Raleigh, Wroclaw, and London. We follow Agile methodologies and use Scrum for project deliveries:

  • You will build and maintain optimal data flows from various Finance applications
  • You will craft large, complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional business requirements
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, etc.
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, Python, Sqoop, file based and Kafka
  • You will support ETL Developers, Data Engineers and Data Visualization teams in their day-to-day work on a variety of topics, including tools and data analysis techniques
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and find opportunities for improvement
  • Support our vendor partner to come up the value chain improving quality, productivity.

FSG Tech - Data Sourcing and F2B Project organization, sources finance data once from upstream strategic source systems, master once in a strategic CFO system for used by all downstream CFO consumers, and subject once to standard controls with minimal adjustments and reconciliations
  • Sourcing from upstream strategic sources via Gateway for all inbound CFO data
  • Standard DQ tooling and processes applied to all data coming into Finance
Align transaction level data from all upstream trade sources into a single sub-ledger allowing a single set of posting rules handled in one place, a single point of reconciliation, a single set of data corrections/adjustments, and a single converged outbound dataset for consumption by PC, FMAR, BMR, LMR, Tax and LE/Divisional Finance. Your skills and experience
We are looking for university degree level (preferably in IT) professional with 3-5 years of experience with SQL and relational database, Python, BigData technologies and Kubernetes experience is a Plus. Prior experience of working in an investment bank (Finance domain) preferred, but not required.

  • You have 1.5-4 years of industry experience
  • You have advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
  • You have validated work experience of at least 3 years as a Big Data Engineer using Big Data technologies and Cloudera Hadoop components such as HDFS, Sentry, HBase
  • Hands on experience with Hadoop based analytical solutions, as well as practical skills in building data processing pipelines using Spark, Scala, Python, Sqoop or similar tools
  • You have deep understanding of DevOps and Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience of CI/CD tools like GIT, Jenkins & Transporter and knowledge of Batch processing, Scheduling in Control-M
  • Degree from an accredited university, preferably in Computer Science or related field, or comparable industry experience
