JOB DESCRIPTION

• 5+ years in Enterprise architecture and over 3+ years in Big Data
  Strong experience in Requirements gathering, Design, Development and Deployment of solutions.
• Implementation experience on at least 2+ Big Data live projects.
• Proven experience in Data modeling, development based on big data-based Platforms for large customers
• Should have been responsible for implementation of full lifecycle of a Hadoop solution, including requirements analysis, design, application design and development, testing, and deployment.

ROLE

• Design and build scalable infrastructure and platform to collect, process and analyze very large amounts of data (structured and unstructured), including streaming real-time data.
• Lead development of projects and work with big data developers for deliverables.
• Provide technical support to all team members during Big Data project execution.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE FOR THE ROLE

• Should have in depth knowledge on minimum two out of Big data distributions such as Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR, Pivotal and NoSQL Databases such as Cassandra, Hbase, Greenplum etc,
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Big data platform development on Hadoop ecosystem including PIG, HIVE, Spark, Spark SQL, Map Reduce Oozie Workflow, SQOOP & FLUME
• Mandatory UNIX/LINUX shell scripting ability to write shell scripts
• Must have Hands-on experience with related/complementary open source software platforms and languages (e.g. Java, Scala, Apache, Perl/Python/PHP, development with SDK libraries)
• Experience in Agile development methodology
• Should have good experience in Maven, GitHub and other project activities for configuration management.

CLIENT MANAGEMENT/BUSINESS SKILLS

• Must possess good client facing experience with the ability to lead Big data design & development activities and lead teams and execute projects, support testing and UAT phases
• Must have led / managed / executed analytics driven Big data project through the complete lifecycle of the project.
