The Opportunity

Gentrack India are currently hiring a BI Solutions Engineer.

Purpose of Role:

This is a diverse role that sits under FP&A and covers a spectrum of BI systems solutions, associated with the delivery of BI to a wide range of users.

You will be expected to enhance, maintain, and support the BI solutions which are currently run in an Azure Services environment. You will be expected to work for the Head of FP&A and with the guidance of the Senior Financial Analyst/Developer, to maintain the current system architecture and help drive the future state of the solution with the Business requirements.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

Operational

Requirements Lifecycle Management

o Maintain requirements so that they remain correct and current after an approved change.

Ensure requirements are traced through their entire lifecycle (i.e. from inception to implementation in the solution) via a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) or equivalent document.

Specification and Documentation

o Document requirements aligned with Gentrack Requirements Guidelines for complex and large projects or functional areas.

Requirement Analysis and Design Definition

o Able to clearly articulate complex requirements.

o Ensure that the requirements fully achieve the intended objectives.

o Identify and communicate assumptions, constraints and dependencies that affect the solution.

o Defines requirements to support transition to new solution.

Elicitation and Collaboration

o Select appropriate requirements elicitation technique/s subject to project and/or stakeholder concerned.

o Control and guide requirement elicitation.

o Applies active listening and para phrasing to ensure accurate information is captured.

Financial Management

Some knowledge of Accounting Systems.

ERP Knowledge.

Development of Reports.

Compliance

To abide to the Compliance Policies and Procedures of the Company.

Occupational H&S

In addition to this you are required to carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by your Manager.

Person Specification:

Experience / Knowledge

Knowledge of best practice software development methodologies and Agile practices.

Experience in using latest techniques and software for systems developments.

8+ year\xe2\x80\x99s Commercial Software knowledge, preferably with Azure Data Factory, Visual Studio and Excel.

8+ years Programing experience of SQL.

Time spent working in team environments, particularly in Financial or Business delivery environments.

Previous experience working with databases particularly Microsoft SQL Server.

Demonstrated knowledge of technologies, such as SSMS, Azure Data factory and SQL.

Knowledge of ERP or/ and CRM.

Qualifications / Education

(highly desirable)

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Science, Maths, Physics or other numerate subject. Software Engineering or comparable professional development and commercial experience..
