About the role: The Production Supervisor will oversee manufacturing operations and ensure that production targets are met. The ideal person will be responsible for supervising, coaching and mentoring our production team to ensure that quality standards are consistently met and exceeded and has a deep understanding of hygienic manufacturing practices. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight: Manage and supervise all aspects of daily production process, including rostering, workflow management, and resource allocation, to ensure timely and efficient production.
  • Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to production staff, including training, coaching, and performance management, to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that products meet or exceed established standards and customer expectations.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Inventory Management: Work with inventory team to monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate records and minimising stock outs or excess inventory.
  • Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations to create a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor production metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse data, and generate reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, R&D, maintenance, and quality assurance, to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and optimise production processes.
  • Continuous Training: Identify training needs and develop training programs for production staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and overall performance.
  • Budget Management: Assist in developing and managing the production budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining quality standards.
Experience: 2-4 years Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: Educational degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in production or manufacturing. Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is strongly preferred.
  • Strong Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and production management techniques.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, and foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Problem-solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Decision-making: Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using production management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other relevant tools.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and a commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives
