Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and forging strong relationships with new clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the freight forwarding industry, a proven track record in sales, and an established network within the Delhi NCR import-export community. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy to win new business.

Key Responsibilities



New Business Acquisition:

Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities with importers and exporters across various industries in the Delhi NCR region.

Lead Generation:

Develop and manage a robust pipeline of new leads through strategic cold calling, networking, industry events, social media, and market research.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers, including Logistics Heads, Supply Chain Managers, and EXIM Managers.

Consultative Selling:

Conduct in-depth needs analysis to understand a client's specific logistics and supply chain challenges, and propose tailored solutions using our service portfolio (Air Freight, Sea Freight, Customs Brokerage, Warehousing, Transportation, etc.).

Quotation & Proposal Management:

Prepare and present compelling, competitive proposals and rate quotations in a timely manner.

Negotiation & Closing:

Lead contract negotiations and successfully close deals to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Market Intelligence:

Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and industry regulations to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.

Collaboration:

Work closely with internal operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and service excellence.

Reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales and prospecting activities using the company's CRM system.

Qualifications and Skills



Required:



Experience:

A minimum of 3-5 years of proven sales/business development experience within the freight forwarding industry is essential.

Market Knowledge:

Strong understanding of the Delhi NCR industrial and commercial landscape (e.g., Gurgaon, Manesar, Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Okhla).

Client Network:

A demonstrable, pre-existing network of potential clients (importers/exporters) in the Delhi NCR region.

Product Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of freight forwarding products including Air Freight (import/export), Sea Freight (FCL/LCL), and Customs Clearance procedures.

Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Core Skills:

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong negotiation and closing abilities. Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).

Mobility:

Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle for client visits.

Preferred:



MBA in Marketing or Supply Chain Management. Experience in selling specialized services like Project Cargo, Perishables, or Temperature-Controlled Logistics. Established relationships within specific industry verticals such as Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, Retail, or Electronics.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
