Job Summary:

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner. The role requires strong knowledge of mixology, excellent customer service, and adherence to hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve drinks according to standard recipes or customer preferences. Greet guests at the bar and take orders in a friendly, efficient manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, glassware, and equipment. Check identification to verify legal drinking age. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and operate the POS system accurately. Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies. Create new cocktails and promote signature or seasonal drinks. Maintain a clean and safe workspace in compliance with health and safety guidelines. Monitor guest behavior and manage alcohol consumption responsibly. Handle customer concerns or complaints with professionalism and escalate when necessary.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail preparation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. High level of personal hygiene and grooming. Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, local licensing) is a plus. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
