Job Summary:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light snacks while delivering excellent customer service. The role requires maintaining cleanliness, following company standards, and creating a welcoming environment for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to standard recipes. Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Provide menu recommendations and upsell beverages, pastries, and food items. Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other cafe equipment safely. Ensure consistency in beverage quality and presentation. Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the work area, tables, and cafe environment. Handle cash and POS transactions accurately. Monitor inventory of coffee, milk, and supplies; inform the manager for replenishment. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards. Support cafe operations including opening, closing, and restocking duties.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer service role (preferred). Knowledge of coffee brewing methods, latte art, and cafe menu items is an advantage. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail with a passion for coffee and customer service. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. Basic math skills for handling cash and POS systems.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in food safety or barista training (added advantage).

Work Environment:

Standing for extended periods. Handling hot equipment and beverages. Team-oriented workplace.
