The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, primarily coffee-based drinks, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting daily cafe operations.
2. Key Responsibilities:Beverage Preparation:
Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages (espresso, cappuccino, latte, frappes, etc.) according to company standards.
Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other cafe equipment.
Customize drinks based on customer preferences and dietary requirements.
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
Provide product information and make recommendations based on customer taste.
Ensure a positive guest experience by handling requests and resolving complaints politely.
Hygiene & Cleanliness:
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, service counters, tables, and equipment.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients.
Operational Support:
Manage billing and operate POS systems for orders and payments.
Refill stocks (coffee beans, milk, syrups, disposables, etc.) and monitor inventory levels.
Assist in opening and closing duties of the cafe/outlet.
High school/Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent.
Prior experience as a Barista or in a cafe/restaurant is preferred (Fresher with a passion for coffee can also apply).
Skills Required:
Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and beverage preparation.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of POS/billing systems.
Attention to detail and customer-focused attitude.
