Job Description

A barista job description typically involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages, along with pastries and light food items, while providing excellent customer service.

Beverage Preparation:

Making a wide range of coffee drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, espressos, and iced coffee. Using espresso machines, milk froth, and other coffee equipment. Following recipes and adjusting drinks based on customer preferences.

Customer Service:

Welcoming customers and taking orders. Providing friendly and efficient service. Answering questions about menu items and specials. Handling cash and card payments.

Cleanliness and Maintenance:

Maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils. Restocking supplies as needed.

Other Duties:

Assisting with inventory management. Promoting coffee and related products. Participating in training and development programs.
