Job Summary:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light snacks while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages (coffee, tea, smoothies, specialty drinks). Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other cafe equipment safely. Greet customers, take orders, and provide product recommendations. Ensure consistent drink quality, presentation, and portion standards. Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas. Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system. Restock ingredients, cups, and supplies throughout the shift. Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards. Manage inventory and report shortages to the supervisor. Prepare simple snacks or bakery items if required. Assist with opening and closing duties. Provide friendly, efficient service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a Barista or in a cafe environment (preferred but not required). Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and espresso machine operation is a plus. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work quickly and multitask in a busy environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic math skills for handling transactions. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Barista Training or Coffee Preparation. Experience in specialty coffee or premium cafe brands. Knowledge of latte art techniques.
